Questions institutions ask before they sign.
Before you buy
How do our students join?
Each institution gets its own student site at yourname.pareeksha.tech. In the console you make a join code for the whole institution or for one batch and share it as a link, a QR code on a poster, or the code itself. A student signs in with their mobile number and lands in the right batch.
You can also import a roster or invite students one by one. A code can be turned off when admissions close.
Do students need an app or an e-mail address?
No. Students sign in on the website with their mobile number and a one-time code; an e-mail address is optional. The site can be added to the phone’s home screen like an app, but nothing has to be installed from an app store.
Which languages are supported?
English, Hindi and Telugu, for questions and for the test screen. Students can switch language during a test. Coverage varies by exam and paper; we confirm the papers available in your students’ language before a pilot starts.
Does it work on cheap phones and weak mobile data? Does it work offline?
It is built for budget Android phones on patchy mobile data, and runs in the phone’s browser.
It is not an offline app: a student needs a connection to open and submit a test. While the test is running, each answer is saved on the phone as soon as it is marked and synced to our servers; if the network drops, the answers are kept and the submission is retried when the connection returns.
Which exams are covered, and can we use our own questions?
Your institution can use Pareeksha’s question bank and mock library: 10 Lakh+ MCQs and 10,000+ mock tests across 150+ exams, including SSC, railways, banking, state exams such as APPSC and AP Police, and NEET. Institutions are offered the papers that have passed our answer-key and quality checks.
You can also run tests on your own questions. Today we load them for you; a self-serve upload in the console is not available yet. Access to Pareeksha’s question bank depends on your plan.
How do you make sure the questions and answer keys are right? What if a student finds a mistake?
Papers go through answer-key and quality checks before they are offered to institutions. Students can report any question they think is wrong, and your console lists every report filed on papers you assigned and where it stands.
We fix score-changing reports (a wrong key, broken options, a wrong question) within 48 hours, and wording or translation reports within a week. When a key is corrected, the paper is re-scored for every institution at once.
What does it cost? Is GST extra?
Institute plans start at ₹12,000 a year. Government programmes are priced per enrolled student per year, from ₹300 down to ₹100 as the programme grows. Colleges, study halls and libraries have their own starting prices.
All prices exclude GST. We send a written quote before anything is billed, issue a GST tax invoice, and accept bank transfer against a purchase order as well as online payment.
Can we try it before paying?
Yes. A coaching institute, college or study hall can register itself for a 14-day free trial with no card. Or book a demo and we run a free pilot with you: one test cycle or more for an institute, and three months for a district programme. Nothing is billed during a pilot and there is no contract.
Who owns our students’ data? How do you comply with the DPDP Act?
Your institution or department owns the data. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you are the Data Fiduciary and Pareeksha is your Data Processor, acting only on your instructions; this is set out in a data processing agreement.
Mobile numbers are encrypted at rest, consent is recorded as an append-only ledger, privileged staff actions are logged, and one institution can never read another’s data. Our Trust page lists what is in place today, what is written into the agreement and what is still being built.
Where is the data hosted? Is it stored in India?
Not today. Our database and application hosting are not currently in an India region. If your programme requires data to be stored in India, we commit to an India-region arrangement in writing in the agreement before signing, and state the region there.
The service providers we use, and what each one does, are listed on our Trust page and in the data processing agreement.
Can students under 18 use it?
The DPDP Act requires verifiable parental consent for anyone under 18. That consent flow is being built, and until it is live we do not onboard school or junior-college cohorts with students under 18. If that is your situation, book a demo and we will tell you when it is ready.
Will our students see ads, or be sold Pareeksha’s own courses?
No. Your student site carries no advertising, no ad pixels and no Pareeksha upsells, and we do not use your students’ contact details to sell them our products. Parent report links are excluded from all analytics.
What happens when our contract ends?
We hand your institution’s data back (roster, attempts and results) in CSV, then delete it and confirm the deletion in writing. This is committed in the agreement; a self-serve export in the console is being built.
A student can also ask for their own personal data to be deleted at any time. Anonymised scores are kept so that other students’ percentiles stay correct.
Can we see how our students compare with students outside our institution?
Yes. Everyone who takes a given Pareeksha paper sits the same fixed paper, so each of your students gets a rank inside your batch and a percentile against everyone who took that paper. Batch and impact reports count only tests taken through your institution.
Can parents see their child’s progress?
Yes, with consent. A teacher adds a parent’s WhatsApp number after confirming the parent agrees, and sends a weekly summary from their own phone. The parent opens a page with the week’s tests, scores and rank in the batch, without logging in. The student is told when a parent contact is added and can stop the reports; links expire after 14 days.
What support do we get?
Set-up help is included in every plan: during a pilot we set up your site, batches and first test with you and watch the first test window. After that, support is by WhatsApp and by e-mail at info@pareeksha.in. At the end of a pilot we go through the batch and impact reports with you.
