Results you can stand behind, and participants’ data handled under the DPDP Act

Fair play

  • One registration per verified mobile number. Sign-ups from the same phone or device are flagged for you to review.
  • Question order and options shuffled for each participant, and two question sets (A and B) for a round if you want them.
  • Results held until the round window closes, so early finishers cannot pass on answers.
  • Disqualifications and manual changes need a reason and are kept in the audit log.

Participants’ data

  • You are the Data Fiduciary for your participants under the DPDP Act 2023. Pareeksha processes their data on your instructions.
  • Mobile numbers are encrypted at rest and masked on screen and in exports. Showing a full number is logged.
  • Consent to be contacted is a separate tick box in your wording, recorded with the time and the text the participant saw.
  • Contest pages carry your brand only: no advertising, no other contests and no Pareeksha offers.

Questions organisers ask

Do participants pay anything to Pareeksha?

No. Participants register and take part without paying Pareeksha. The organiser pays for the contest, on the plan shown on this page. Collecting an entry fee from participants is not part of the console today.

When do we pay?

The Free plan costs nothing. For a Fest or Contest pack you can pay after registration closes, so you pay for the participants you actually got. All prices are + 18% GST, with a GST tax invoice; colleges and companies can pay by bank transfer against a purchase order.

Can students from other colleges take part?

Yes. A public contest is open to anyone who meets the eligibility you set, an unlisted one only to people who have the link, and an invite-only one to the people you invite. Registration fields (college, course, year, city) tell you who came from where.

How do teams register?

One member signs up and creates the team, which gives a short team code. The others sign up with their own mobile numbers and join with that code. The team size you set is enforced, and a person can be in only one team per contest.

How do you stop a participant using a second phone or searching the answers?

On a participant’s own phone, nobody can stop a second device. What the online round does: full screen enforced, exits counted on the server and the test submitted after the limit you set, copy blocked, questions and options shuffled, two question sets, and a short time per question. Duplicate sign-ups from the same phone or device are flagged.

For a round that decides prizes or jobs, use lab mode in a computer lab with an invigilator, or a paper round on OMR sheets.

How many people can take part?

Up to 300 on the Free plan, 1,000 on a Fest pack and 2,000 on a Contest pack before the per-participant rate. For a contest you expect to cross 10,000 participants, we plan the rounds with you before launch: an online round can stay open for a few hours or days so everyone does not start in the same minute.

Can we use our own questions, and in which languages?

Yes. Write them in the console or upload a spreadsheet; each file is checked before import. You can mix them with questions from Pareeksha’s bank of 10 Lakh+ MCQs. The test screen and Pareeksha’s questions are available in English, Hindi and Telugu, and a participant can switch language during a test where the paper has that language.

Who owns the participant data? Can we contact participants later?

You do. Under the DPDP Act 2023 you are the Data Fiduciary for your participants and Pareeksha processes their data on your behalf. You can contact only the participants who ticked your consent box; that consent is recorded with the time and the wording they saw. Mobile numbers are masked in the console and in exports, and showing a full number is logged.

Can we show the leaderboard on a projector during the event?

Yes. TV view is a large-type page that fits a projector or a TV behind the stage. It shows only what you have published, so you can hold a round’s result until you are ready to announce it.

Do certificates carry our logo and signature?

On the Fest pack and above, yes: your organisation’s name, logo and signatory. Free-plan certificates carry Pareeksha’s name alongside yours. Every certificate has a code that anyone can check on the verify page.
